Harvest is both a noun and a verb - a thing of abundance that we have at the end of a lot of hard work, and the action of that very hard work.  For a good part of human history, the autumn was filled with great relief and celebration with a good harvest or deep fear when the summer’s hard work didn’t yield enough. It is a charged time, with expectation and longing. For the meditating woman in the image, this is also true  because she is crossing the threshold of perimenopause. Her internal fires are rising, and she is faced with assessing the quality and quantity of what she has harvested thus far in her life. On the trees are carved the words “Self-Love” in the Witches alphabet because that is what’s needed in this time of transformation.
