Inspired by the illustrations in older children’s books that always showed animal dens as cozy and filled with some kind of magical light. Sometimes focusing on the beauty that I  can find in nature is the only way that I can cope with long, dark winters. That and knowing that the green is still there, beneath the surface, waiting to return. This is the magic that can be found in barren landscapes.
